Default Maestro susp setup?

Hoping to come and join you guys on the 11 Oct, and steadily getting my Maestro ready (the blue + yellow one off ebay, its not blue and yellow any more )

thanks Ben for the advice at Mallory, but both my dad and I cant remember everything, or were unsure when it came to it (there was lots, should have brought a notebook)

could someone please give me some advice/idea on the best suspension set up for Thruxton, the car has got Leda's with 14" wheels..

many thanks

Talking Welcome to the MGOC

Hello mate

The following was used on my race winning maestro for 10 years. Always workrd well for me.

2.5 deg camber on front struts, tracking toe in slightly.
front shocks set at 7 clicks clockwise in dry, 2 in wet.
Front tyres 20 psi in dry, 25 in wet.
rear tyres set at 26 dry and wet,
rear shocks 14 dry and 4 wet.

For Thruxton, remove brain and make sure you are flat out in 5th through church, if not you are going too slow.

Good luck and see you there.

Simon

Default good set up!!

that is a good set up from simon,

it took me 2 yrs to find out that you dont need to have a different set up for every track, when will won the championship he had one setting for the whole year.

we used to have toe in 1 degree on our cars. it worked very well.

one thing i would agree with is the comment about church corner.

doug cole told me when i first raced at thruxton to put your left foot over your acceletrator foot to make sure you dont lift off !! i did this and i worked great!!!

I find in the monty that extra 2" in wheel base makes the differance flat out in 5th everytime. i would change to 5th exiting the corner before church worked for me ask lee and ben
